A devastating earthquake has hit Mexico City, toppling buildings and killing at least 116 people in the process. Although many of us are far away, we feel the emotional impact of the natural disaster.
The 7.1 magnitude earthquake mostly hit in Puebla, Morelos and Mexico states, according to reports. As the damage continues to be assessed, Twitter is sending love to Mexico as “Mexico City,” “Pray For Mexico,” and “#mexicoearthquake” trend worldwide on the social media platform.
The quake coincidentally hit just hours after many people commemorated the anniversary of another devastating earthquake that killed thousands in Mexico City over three decades ago.
Thoughts, prayers, love, and good vibes are all being sent Mexico City’s way… Stay strong!
