Deadmau5‘s relationship with Twitch streamer and online personality Ninja has always been… odd. The two’s interactions have at times been hotly vicious, and other times calm and cordial. Joel contends that he’s got nothing but respect for Ninja, and whenever it seems like he’s being an asshole, he’s just fooling around. Watch the clip below for a prime example:

But when it comes down to it, money talks. During a recent stream for charity, Deadmau5 dropped a cool $500 watching Ninja play Fortnite – and because of their history and perception on social media, deadmau5 even had to hop on Twitter to say, “No, that was really me.”
