Odesza brought their A Moment Apart tour to the Coachella 2018 main stage last night and they brought the house down and everything else, too. Utilizing every tool at their disposal, including wild visuals across the main stage’s large LED screens, guest vocalists Leon Bridges, Naomi Wild and WYNNE, a fleet of drones, pyrotechnics, brass section, 12-piece drum line, and an ever-moving stage, Odesza brought a show that the crowd won’t soon forget.
The hour-long performance featured all of Odesza hits from In Return and A Moment Apart. It also featured a historic technological moment as they brought out 420 Intel Shooting Star drones (powered by HP Workstations) about halfway through their set to fly in coordination with their music. They event went far out above the crowd and formed their trademark icosahedron as Leon Bridges came out on stage. This marked the first time the Intel drones have flown during a live performance.
Odesza will return to Coachella next weekend, Sunday, April 22 for the second round of the festival. It’s unlikely that they’ll put on the same performance they did last night, but we’re sure they still have something extremely special planned out.
