Wildfires are sweeping across California this week, displacing tens of thousands of residents and destroying homes and communities. One of the biggest and most dangerous fires is in the Thousand Oaks area, the same city where 12 young adults were gunned down at a bar earlier this week.
Among those fleeing for safety is Machinedrum, an EDM producer, who most recently put out a remix for The Glitch Mob’s “Enter Formless.” He shared the news on Twitter: “We just had to evacuate our home in Thousand Oaks due to fires. […] Just read that houses are on fire on our street, 1 block long. We might not have a home to come back to.”

Many residents are now homeless and jobless. At least five people have died as a result of the fires, that are known of. If you are at risk of being evacuated, you can read tips on preparation here.
