Inaugural Electronic Music Awards Set For September 21 In Downtown LA

Last year’s attempted Electronic Music Awards & Foundation didn’t go through as planned, but it will make its official return this September in downtown Los Angeles.

The Electronic Music Awards will take place on Thursday, September 21, 2017 live from the Downtown Arts District in Los Angeles. Spanning across 11 awards, the EM Awards will celebrate the leading underground and commercial artists, creatives, executives, and visionaries shaping one of music and popular culture’s most rapidly expanding genres. The Awards Show will be broadcast live, globally, on Twitter commencing at 7:47pm PST.

The Electronic Music Awards Executive Producers include 3 time GRAMMY nominated producer/DJ Paul Oakenfold and dynamic creative entertainment company Hunt & Crest. The Awards are produced by leading live events production company Live L!ve Media, with brand partnerships curated by entertainment marketing firm UG Strategies. The awards will be voted on by a body comprised of the leading advisors and executives within the electronic community.

Nominations, additional presenters, performers, and partners will be announced in the coming weeks. The live stream will be available for free to logged-in and logged out users on Twitter and connected devices globally. Fans will be able to access the live stream at theemawards.twitter.com and via the awards Twitter handle @theemawards. The show will also include opportunities for advertisers including packages with TV style spots, combined with original clips available for sponsorship and promotion on Twitter.

“From the beginning, partnering with Twitter was essential for The Electronic Music Awards,” said Luke Alan, Co Founder, EMA’s. “Twitter is a leader in delivering great, live content, and our team is ecstatic to bring our version of a reimagined award show to our global fans on the platform.”

“We are excited to live stream the first ever Electronic Music Awards globally on Twitter,” said Anthony Noto, Twitter COO. “Twitter is the place people go to see what’s happening in award shows. Now fans, who already turn to Twitter to discuss the latest in electronic music, will be able to watch the live video of the inaugural EMA’s and the related conversation all on the same platform.”

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite, the world’s leading ticketing and event technology platform which powers nearly three million events each year, with proceeds going to charity.
