It’s not the first time, and it’s not the last time, but an artist’s set at a festival this past weekend was forced to stop temporarily as crew attempted to bring an attendee down after she climbed the scaffolding at one of the stages.
This weekend, the incident occurred during Alan Walker’s set at Escape: Psycho Circus, the annual Halloween event thrown by LA-based promoter Insomniac Events. During Walker’s set, captured in the video below, an attendee began to climb the scaffolding near the front of the stage. One of the crew members followed, attempting to grab her leg, but quickly thought better of his decision, fearing for her safety.
Walker cut the music and announced to the attendee that someone was coming to get her and to “please not climb any higher.” Ultimately, the woman in question ended up climbing down on her own, stumbling a couple times, which drew some gasps from the crowd. We’re not sure what happened to the woman after she was on the ground, but we can assume that she was escorted out of the festival.
