Though our world has seemingly turned upside down lately in terms of natural disasters, thankfully artists like Major Lazer are there to support and make a difference in this crazy world.
The electronic trio is set to host an event called Relief Is the Mission in Miami to benefit those affected by the disastrous Hurricane Irma. The event goes down Monday, October 16 at Mana Wynwood in effort to help rebound the chaos caused in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
Major Lazer promises 100 percent of ticket sales will go to groups including ComPRometidos, Global Giving, and Save the Children, all of which strive to help with hurricane relief efforts.
The group’s tropical house, reggae-inspired productions fit perfectly with the climate and the vibes of these beautiful destinations. Major Lazer will also perform alongside Tory Lanez, Machel Montano, and Bad Bunny — and they urge other artists to come forward and participate — “reach out and join us.”
Tickets range from $20 to $100 via ticketfly.com.
