Yesterday, BUKU closed off its 2018 festival with a bang as headliner Bassnectar plus REZZ, Isaiah Rashad, Illenium, Jai Wolf and many more all taking to the stage. Unfortunately, one of the most anticipated acts of the day failed to show up completely leaving many of his fans disappointed.
The act in question? Lil Uzi Vert who didn’t show up without giving any reason and was supposedly just hanging out in Philadelphia. The festival responded by donating a portion of his fee to Upbeat Academy Foundation, a Louisiana-based non-profit that works with underprivileged children on helping them to chase their dreams through music.
While we’re glad that something good came out of this we can’t help but wonder why the rapper was a no-show who has yet to comment on social media about the situation.
