Facebook, the largest social media and networking resource on the planet, has just announced a new dating feature for its app. Bye bye, Tinder?
Details surrounding the new feature are scarce at the moment, having been just announced at Facebook’s annual F8 developer conference today. Early rumors suggest that you won’t be able to match with your friends, only strangers. You will also be able to build a private dating profile that isn’t visible to your friends. A quote from @mcwm of Zuckerberg states, “This is for budding real, longterm relationships, not just hookups.”
What does that make the other apps for?
According to CNBC, “shares of online dating company Match and its parent company IAC both sunk on the news.”
