The Billboard Hot 100 chart rules have updated frequently the past few years. One of the big changes allows all songs from an album on streaming services to pop up on the chart. So, the chart has more than radio singles now. The change has allowed Drake and The Weeknd to have all songs from previous albums chart, a big feat for both artists.
Post Malone is the latest artist to have all songs from his album Beerbongs & Bentleys pop up on the Hot 100. Plus, nine of the album’s tracks are in the top 20 of the Hot 100. The big news? This nine-song achievement officially breaks a record previously held by The Beatles. In 1964, The Beatles broke a record for having six songs in the top 20 on Hot 100. While The Beatles achieved the record under the old Hot 100 rules, Malone is still recognized for breaking the band’s 54-year-old record.
Malone’s hit singles “Psycho,” “Better Now” and “Rockstar” are currently in the top 10. Malone also has six other tracks in the top 20. Beerbongs & Bentleys has already broken Spotify streaming records and made the biggest debut of 2018. Love him or hate him, Malone has become one of music’s biggest stars.
