It’s incredible how Avicii’s legacy continues to be celebrated even now, a day before the two month anniversary of his passing. Two months honestly isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of things. But in this era of 24-hour news cycles with so much going on in the world, his command on the attention of music fans and tastemakers is absolutely notable. This past Friday, Arty performed at Bassmnt Nightclub in San Diego, California, during which he debuted a new song dedicated to Avicii. The song is called “For Tim,” Arty confirmed in response to a fan on Twitter.
Tim’s influence is clearly recognizable amidst the bright and anthemic chords and piano, pulsing drums, and vibrant positive sound scape. It’s a wonderfully beautiful song that certainly does Avicii’s memory justice.
Arty says, “I can’t wait to share it with you.” We hope we get to hear it soon.
