Big festivals like EDC and Defqon.1 have been embracing opening ceremonies for years, but no one does it quite like Tomorrowland. The theme for this year’s festival is the Story of Planaxis, a play on the city of Atlantis, which gives Tomorrowland plenty of thematic material to work with. And it’s all on display at Tomorrowland’s new main stage.
Here in the US, we’re already hours behind the beginning of the festival, but Tomorrowland has uploaded the full mainstage opening ceremony for us to enjoy. Featuring some truly incredible stage design and an inspiring story to boot, this moment set the tone for the entire weekend to come.
