Rolling Stone Names The 100 Greatest Songs of the Century (So Far)

As far as music publications go, Rolling Stone might as well be the music Bible. So, now that it’s put out a list of the The 100 Greatest Songs of the Century – So Far, well, now we finally know.

The list was put together by a panel of trusted and respected artists, producers, music critics and music experts — all of which ranked their favorite songs of all time. Although, the list is naturally subjective, it’s still an excellent representation of our current, refined taste in popular music.

Dance music is strongly represented by acts like LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, and Calvin Harris. While we’d love to see a deadmau5 or a Skrillex or a Swedish House Mafia, or an Avicii track (we could go on) in there, we simply have to buckle to any list which includes Johnny Cash, RadioheadLana Del ReyKanye WestM.I.A., The White Stripes, Britney Spears and so many more.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z take the cake with their 2003 collab “Crazy In Love.”

It’s a great time to be alive and listening to music and it’s awesome to see so much variety making this list! What’s your all-time favorite track so far from this century?
