Glastonbury Festival just sold out in 37 minutes without any lineup.
The iconic music festival returns next June after a two-year break, and fans are beyond stoked to experience Glastonbury in 2019. Unlike most events, this one is able to sell out without any hint as to who might headline. Or, who any of the acts might be for that matter.
Glastonbury took its “fallow” year off in 2018 to allow the grounds to rest up. It’s a good thing, because next year’s installment is expected to be bigger than ever. Many of the world’s top acts perform at Pilton in Somerset, England for approximately 135,000 people.
Tickets went on sale at 9 am today, and according to reports they were all gone by 9:37 am. No doubt Glastonbury is a hot ticket.
Sales aren’t quite over yet, though. Returned tickets will go on-sale in April 2019. So music fans hoping to attend the festival over June 26 through June 30 will have a window of opportunity to snag their spot.
“Tickets have now all sold out!” Organizer Emily Eavis shared on social media. “We are blown away by the huge demand, looks like record numbers tried. Thank you for your patience and incredible support and for those of you who missed out, there will be a ticket resale in April.”
