Marshmello‘s “Happier” with Bastille is now the longest-running No. 1 dance song of all time.
Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic Songs chart has seen the hit at No. 1 for 34 weeks. Previously, “The Middle” by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey held down the top spot for a total of 33 weeks, so the song comes in second. The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” featuring Halsey is now the third longest-running single on the chart, which conquered for 27 weeks.
While “Happier” is dominating the Dance/Electronic Songs chart, it didn’t ever hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. Peaking at No. 2, it did come close though.
There’s no telling how long Marshmello’s reign will continue. However, currently sitting at No. 2 on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart is his collaboration with CHVRCHES, “Here With Me.”
