It’s hard to believe, but Louis The Child and Whethan have never collaborated — until now. Out today is a Wafia’s debut single on Atlantic Records, “Hurts,” featuring both Louis The Child and Whethan.
Make no mistake, at the end of the day, this is still a Wafia tune. That being said, the production from both parties is clearly present and blissful.
Wafia says that she initially invited Whethan to lay down some ideas for the track after it was written, but later felt that Louis The Child would be a perfect addition. Wafia, of course, is featured on Louis The Child’s megahit “Better Not,” so the decision was a natural one.
“We were so excited to collaborate with two of our favorite people, Wafia and Whethan.” says Louis The Child, “We hope you love it as much as we do.”
Whethan says of the collab, “It’s a homie track. It was an opportunity to be able to come together with friends and make music. Both Wafia and Louis The Child are like family, so this one means a lot to me.”
We’re still waiting for the day of a true Louis The Child & Whethan collaboration, but this is more than satisfactory for the time being. Listen to and watch the video for “Hurts” below.
