When it comes to music festivals Electric Daisy Carnival (multiple cities) reigns supreme. This, according to the inaugural Electronic Music Awards that took place in Los Angeles last night.
Insomniac‘s insanely popular festival chain EDC just announced major changes coming in 2018 for the flagship Las Vegas event, as the festival seeks to improve for the 20th anniversary. Even so, EDC was fabulous enough in 2017 to win “Festival of the Year” at the EMAs, over Tomorrowland, Electric Forest, Movement, and Lightning in a Bottle. Side note — where the hell is Ultra?
The EMAs were broadcast live via Twitter from Los Angeles, CA last night, under the designated hashtag #EMAwards. Producers, DJs, and industry professionals joined together to celebrate the genre with the very first awards show exclusively for electronic music.
