Marshmello’s first episode of “Cooking With Mello” debuted on Halloween and was a cute way for the perpetually-masked DJ to celebrate the holiday and poke a little fun at deadmau5 in the process. Even if the final product wasn’t totally professional looking, it was forgiven because it was Halloween.
A week later, Marshmello is cooking up something new but the magic is already gone. The quaint, British voice over has lost its luster, the final product looks like a four-year-old made it, and somehow his team found a way to bring planking back.
I feel bad even taking this video so seriously, because I’m sure no one else is… I also just realized watching this through for a second time that the sheet of aluminum foil brought out in the beginning is absolutely useless for the duration of the video. Somehow, that infuriates me more than anything else.
