Reunion rumors have been started by lesser instances, but fans have begun speculating a Swedish House Mafia reunion for Ultra 2018 thanks to – get this – Steve Angello following Axwell & Ingrosso on Instagram.
We’re definitely not saying that this confirms a reunion of any sort, and reunions have been rumored for years and years already at every turn and every slight hint of interaction between the three past members. However, with this year being Ultra’s 20th anniversary and touting “special anniversary performances,” Swedish House Mafia quite obviously comes to mind.
The three SHM members also apparently recently followed Pharrell, who helped create their hit “One (Your Name),” only fueling the rumors even more.
Not only this, but Swedish House Mafia has just scrubbed their Instagram and Twitter of any posts. Definitely curious.
Unfortunately, according to sources, Angello has said that he is booked for gigs in Asia during the time of Ultra 2018, which not only rules out a Swedish House Mafia reunion, but an Ultra appearance entirely.
So take the social media rumors with a grain of salt, but like every other SHM rumor, this one probably isn’t happening either.
