John Mayer Brings Out Alessia Cara to Peform Zedd’s “Stay” [VIDEO]

Zedd‘s biggest pop anthem of 2017, the Alessia Cara collaboration “Stay,” has been blazing both the US Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Hot 100 charts on Billboard. The track helped bring Zedd and Alessia Cara back into the limelight after a down period for both artists, and its latest interpretation comes from a rather unexpected source.

John Mayer performed “Stay” during a stop at the Echoplex in Los Angeles as part of the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour, surprising attendees even more when he brought out Alessia Cara herself to duet the song. While Zedd wasn’t around to guest star, Mayer and Cara held their own to perform a stripped-down version of the hit song. Cara also stayed (no pun intended) to help perform the closing number, Mayer’s own hit song “Gravity.” The entire show was streamed on Facebook live, but YouTube fan channel Alessia Cara World snagged some on-the-ground footage of Mayer and Cara performing “Stay,” which you can watch below:
