If you’re a producer looking for something interesting to remix look no further than Avicii’s huge new single “Without You” with Sandro Cavazza. DJcity and Geffen Records have teamed up to launch an epic new remix contest for the song that you won’t want to miss.
First things first, the winning submission will have his or her remix put out as an official remix via Geffen. The winner will receive a cash prize of $5000 and a feature on DJcity’s blog and social media channels. The contest has been open for a few days now and you’ll want to act fast as submissions will close September 8th (next Friday) at 11:59pm PST.
The rules are fairly straightforward, the contest is open to international participants (but only one entry per participant) and all remixes must not contain any unauthorized samples or other copyrighted materials. From there, DJcity will select a pool of ten of their favorite remixes from which Avicii will choose the winner. The finalists will be announced on September 13th and the winner will be announced a week later on September 20th.
