Forget all the “official” top 100 DJ lists out there, curated by music snobs and industry professionals — because the people of Reddit know what’s up when it comes to good electronic music!
r/EDM has released its TOP 100 DJs 2017: Reddit Edition list, and we can’t argue with the results. One of the most globally recognized names in EDM, Martin Garrix comes out on top (as he did on the DJ Mag list), while Illenium and Porter Robinson round out the top 3, all of which had huge years in terms of touring and new releases.
Don Diablo, Hardwell, Seven Lions, KSHMR, Flume, Armin van Buuren and Marshmello make up the top 10 — and again, this list is pretty spot on in terms of popularity, touring, exposure, etc. Other notables include Dillon Francis coming in at #15, deadmau5 at #16, Eric Prydz at #17, Zedd at #18, Skrillex at #21, and so on.
“2105 people voted which is insane!” user mfEDM says. “In total, more than 1000 different DJs received votes, however, I’m only showing the top 150 (100 in the post, rest in the Google Sheet).”
Last year, Martin Garrix was also dubbed the #1 DJ, with The Chainsmokers (which dropped to #23 this year) at the #2 spot and Porter Robinson right behind them — See 2016 results here!
