Hardwell made history in music and motorsports as he performed to tens of thousands of people at the Formula 1 Gran Premio de Mexico this past Sunday.
The two-time world’s #1 DJ has been living life in the fast lane, so this team effort between Hardwell and Heineken’s More Than A Race campaign came together perfectly for the occasion.
Hardwell spoke out on the opportunity: “Being asked to be a part of a world first for F1 was a very special feeling. It was an honor to be invited by Heineken and Formula 1 organisation to play an F1 podium for the first time in Grand Prix history. It was a thrill to be there on race day and I loved every minute playing for to the F1 fans in Mexico City on the Grand Prix on Sunday!”
The thrilling end to a such a monumental season came in the form of Hardwell’s high-octane powered, hour-long set — as he became the first DJ to ever perform from the iconic F1 podium.
The race was won by Red Bull’s Dutch driver Max Verstappen, but Hardwell was the real MVP for many. Fans across the world didn’t have to miss out, as Hardwell’s F1 Mexico performance was live streamed to hundreds of thousands, if not millions more.
