Kendrick Lamar straight up cleaned house at The 60th Annual Grammy Awards!
The rapper took home Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album and Best Music Video. With songs like “Humble.” and “Loyalty.” featuring Rihanna — scratch that, his entire album DAMN. — it’s no surprise he’s being honored by The Grammys.
Dave Chappelle came on stage to present best rap album and Lamar accepted gracefully.
“[Hip-hop] is what got me on the stage, this is what got me to tour around the world. Most important it showed me what a true artist is,” Kendrick said. “It’s really about expressing yourself and putting that paint on the canvas for the world to evolve for the next generation and the next.”
He ended his speech with a huge nod to JAY-Z — “Jay for president!”
This, of course, comes after President Trump tweeted at Jay-Z in regards to his comments on black unemployment.
Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!
