Costa Rica’s Envision Festival went down this past weekend nearly without incident; unfortunately, on the final day, one death from the festival was reported.
According to local news sources, the deceased was identified as 32-year-old Wesner Chavarría Camareno, who was apparently a volunteer at the festival. His body was found in the water just outside the festival grounds, at Uvita Beach in Puntarenas. By the time he was found, he had already passed away.
Sources close to the matter told Dancing Astronaut that witnesses spotted Camareno in the water “up to his knees” before vanishing beneath the waves. Envision also told DA that this is the first death at the festival since it began in 2011.
Further details on Camareno’s death, including an official COD, are sure to follow soon.
