Sun City Music Festival is Cancelled for 2018

After Disco Donnie split with Insomniac to form Disco Donnie Presents, he launched a number of regional EDM festivals. Sun City Music Festival in El Paso, Texas, was one of those music festivals, and it has been running since 2011. The festival celebrated a huge year in 2017, and many were curious to see how 2018’s lineup would turn out. Unfortunately, SCMF will not return.

SCMF announced that the festival would be cancelled in 2018. The festival was set to take place during Labor Day weekend. The festival apologized for waiting so long to announce the cancellation; the festival said organizers DDP and SMG Events exhausted their options. The festival also said it hoped to return in 2019.

SCMF drew huge lineups every year from 2011-2017. Last year, Marshmello and Above & Beyond headlined, with Sasha & John Digweed, Borgore, Louis the Child and more on the undercard. Everyone from Skrillex to David Guetta has played the festival during its seven-year history.
