It’s important to be safe at music festivals, especially when choosing to participate in illegal activities, including taking drugs like ecstasy and cocaine. In the interest of safety, we always recommend that you test your drugs with testing kits provided by organizations like DanceSafe or similar.
With Electric Forest going on this weekend in Michigan, organizations aren’t taking any chances. The Pennsylvania chapter of DanceSafe tweeted today that Bunk Police, another organization focused on drug safety and education, has had multiple reports of fentanyl-laced cocaine.
Fentanyl, a synthetic heroin, is a highly dangerous substance in that its lethal dose is far lower than that of its more “natural” counterpart.
Anyone attempting to purchase cocaine at the festival should test it first before using, or else err on the side of caution and refrain from purchasing entirely.
Insomniac Events which runs Electric Forest has a zero tolerance policy toward illegal drugs of any kind.
You can text BUNK to 555-888 for updates on their location and fentanyl alerts.
