The Glitch Mob, Mako, and The Word Alive Create New Song For League Of Legends Worlds 2018

League of Legends has a long history of teaming up with artists for unique pieces of music for their events, including past submissions from Zedd, Arty, Jauz, Marshmello, and more. Mako returns again, accompanied by The Glitch Mob & The Word Alive for new song “RISE” for the Worlds 2018 event.

The video features many of the game’s favorite heroes, as well as real world players representing the story of Worlds 2017, Royal Never Give Up’s ADC Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao and SK Telecom T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.

Beyond the animation and story, the song is a brilliant and emphatic portrayal of strife and struggle in the auditory sense, and perfectly conveys the story the video is attempting to tell.

The 2018 LoL World Championships begin October 1 in South Korea and will go until November 3, when a new champion is crowned.
