Dillon Francis Drops New Meme EDM Track With TV Noise, “EDM O’ CLOCK”

Just this Monday, Dillon Francis teased a new collaboration with TV Noise that was intended to “make fun of people who make fun of dance music and all drops in dance music right now.” The idea was that the drop would change every four bars, playing off the variety of common drop tropes present in today’s EDM club climate.

Out today is that track, “EDM O’ CLOCK.” And while it doesn’t quite live up to the expectations I had for it, it still gets the job done. The track does change the drop every four bars, but there is definitely a core melody and bassline that Dillon and TV Noise return to after each alternating switch up. So while it isn’t an entirely new drop every four bars, technically, Dillon wasn’t lying.

The track is frightfully short, clocking in just under 2m30s — but considering the nature of the track, that’s not entirely surprising. There are two distinct drop sections, with two alternating drops within each section. All in all, it’s a super fun track that keeps you moving and entertained, and that’s all we can ask for!

Check out “EDM O’ CLOCK” from Dillon Francis and TV Noise below, out now on Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS.
