Lil Nas X‘s career has only just begun, but he’s already taking a break from music.
It’s been several months since his single “Old Town Road” thrust the young singer into superstardom, and now he’s letting fans in on his next move. He plans on taking a step back from the spotlight, even though that means dipping out of some festival performances.
“It’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off,” Lil Nas says in the tweet below. “sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, I will not be there. I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”
Lil Nas X’s breakout single shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 19 weeks. His new song “Panini” off the 7 EP is making waves now. Hopefully this break will allow him more studio time.
